Those who use steel cylinders already know the great benefits but those who don't, only need to try it once and you will see why people prefer them to aluminum cylinders. The Faber High Pressure Steel Cylinders Gun Metal Gray are offered in a wide range of sizes offering the right size for each type of diver out there.

All Faber High Pressure Steel Cylinders Gun Metal Gray come from the factory Nitrox ready up to 40% and include a XS Scuba PVD Pro Valve which gives the best of both worlds. The XS Scuba PVD Pro Valve is not only a Yoke valve but with one easily removed insert the valve can be converted to a 200 BAR DIN Valve, so no matter which type of first stage you have the Faber High Pressure Steel Cylinders Gun Metal Gray will work just fine.

The Faber High Pressure Steel Cylinders Gun Metal Gray robust weight gives the divers the ability to decrease the amount of lead weight from their integrated weight systems or BCD or belts. By the extra weight being in the Faber High Pressure Steel Cylinders Gun Metal Gray it repositions the added weight behind the divers BCD or harness allowing for more evenly distributed ballast.

Faber High Pressure Steel Cylinders Gun Metal Gray eliminate the constant fluctuation of positive buoyancy that divers deal with while using aluminum tanks after we breath the air from the cylinders they decrease in weight. With the Faber High Pressure Steel Cylinders Gun Metal Gray the negative buoyancy that maintains throughout the dive, allows divers to use less lead to stay negative or neutral towards the end of a dive.

The Faber High Pressure Steel Cylinders Gun Metal Gray all have round bottoms and therefore come equipped with a cylinder boot. That not only helps to keep the tank standing upright when desired but will also protect the surfaces that you have the tanks resting on, such as boat decks and pool decks and etc..

Faber High Pressure Steel Cylinders Gun Metal Gray all have a working pressure of 3442 psi (237 BAR) and are negatively buoyant from -8.05 lbs. to -9.08 lbs. (-3.65 kg to -4.11 kg) when they are fully pressurized to capacity. When they are empty their buoyancy changes to -1.74 lbs. to +1.45 lbs. (-0.79 kg to +0.66 kg). The Faber High Pressure Steel Cylinders Gun Metal Gray are made from triple protected zinc sprayed and epoxy and polyurethane painted deep drawn chromium molybdenum steel.

The inlet threads of the Faber High Pressure Steel Cylinders Gun Metal Gray are standard 3/4"-14 NPSM. All Faber High Pressure Steel Cylinders meet certificated specifications of the US Department of Transportation (DOT) with DOT special permit number 13488 and Transport Canada (TC) with special permit number SU7694-237.

The XS Scuba PVD Pro Valves are extremely heavy duty. They have a Mil-Spec black PVD Finish which helps to match with the cylinders as well increase in its own durability. The XS Scuba PVD Pro Valve is cleaned for pre-blended nitrox mixes up to 40% oxygen. With 1.5 rotations of the handwheel you can go from fully on to fully off. All O-rings are Viton and EPDM material and are lubricated with Christo-Lube MGC-111 lubricant. The high-pressure seat is nylon assuring the diver safe use with Nitrox. The easy grip soft rubber hand wheel with stainless steel insert ensures long life and large ribs make turning handle easy even when wearing gloves. Valve bonnets are copper crush washer sealed. Standard yoke outlet with 1/4" hex spin-out adapter converts to 230 bar DIN outlet, Service pressures: 3442 (230 bar). Valve is equipped with a one-piece safety plug, has a 5/32" hex wrench dip tube for positive retention and 3/4" x 14 NPSM inlet threads which fit nearly all DOT aluminum and modern steel cylinders.
