Overview: Learn to scuba with an Open Water Class. You begin Open Water Certification with home study, we will provide you with the Naui Education Pack. This pack is included in the open water certification price and contains a manual, an instructional video or cassette tapes and an open book test. You will complete the classroom knowledge in basic scuba physics, physiology, equipment, etc in home study before attending the first pool experience. This knowledge is then applied in a Pool environment where you can learn and hone your basic diving skills. At the completion of the home study and pool sessions, you will do 5 dives in an open water environment and experience first hand the fun and excitement Scuba Diving has to offer.

Home Study:

You begin Open Water Certification with home study, we will provide you with the Naui Education Pack. This pack is included in the open water certification price and contains a manual, an instructional video or cassette tapes and an open book test. You will study such diverse subjects as Equipment, Diving Physics, The Diving Environment, Diving Physiology and more...

While this may not be the most exciting aspect of a Scuba, the information is essential to becoming a good, safe diver. You will find that this material is presented in such a way as to even make studying Diving Physics fun!!

The price of our classes includes all materials, so when you sign up for your class, you will receive your home study Naui Education Pack, and a dive table. We will also issue you a free log book when you go for your checkout dives.

And in the comfort of your own home, you will view a video which will help you to grasp the important concepts of Scuba.

Admittedly, not the most exciting part of a Scuba, but the knowledge you gain will start you on your way to safely enjoying the adventure of Scuba!

Pool:

We have our own indoor heated pool, specially designed for scuba training. If people are in the pool, you can watch with our web cam! Here you will take your first breaths underwater. Then at a relaxed pace you will learn and become familiar with all the equipment and skills necessary to become a safe diver.

Skills you will master in the pool include:

Regulator Recovery Mask Flooding and Clearing Buoyancy Skills Equalization Techniques Ascents and Descents Out of Air Procedures Buddy Assistance ... and much more!

You will also have plenty of time for just some plain old FUN!! We will make sure you are completely comfortable in this confined water environment before we move on to the next step - Open Water Check Out Dives.

And remember to ask about getting free pool time anytime you want to tune up your skills after your class is over!

Check Out Dives:

After we finish the classroom and pool sections of the class, we head out to Open Water to do 4 actual dives, 2 on one day, 2 on the next. During these dives you will review all your skills plus learn a few more - like Underwater Navigation.

The Open Water dives will give you the actual practical experience you need to feel confident to dive safely on your own.

Prices:

Our price for the open water class is $249.00.

Class price includes all classroom materials: Naui Education Pack(Book, Video, Workbook, dive tables, and a Dive Log). It also includes the use of all Scuba Equipment (Tank, Weights, BC, Regulators, Wetsuit) during the pool sessions. The only thing you need to supply is your personal gear - mask, snorkel, fins, and booties. You will find that we have The Best prices on gear at our shop... And when you get your personal gear from us... we toss in free gear rental for the lake weekend and free extra pool time anytime you want to get wet!

Schedules:

We understand time is important to you so we offer:

• Weekend Classes:
  Completion of required Home Study and test. One weekend, Saturday and Sunday 9am - 5pm takes care of the pool sections. Then the following weekend we go to the lake. We have these scheduled almost every weekend so call today to get scheduled!
  
  
• Private classes
  Meet when you want. When it fit's your schedule. Private classes are $375 per person.
