The HOG SMB Safety Sausage is a highly visible surface marker utilizing bright fluorescent colors like yellow and orange. Equipped with a reflective strip at the top increases chances of being spotted especially when light shined upon it. The HOG SMB Safety Sausage is available in three different lengths, 36, 45 and 72 inch. The 36 and 45 inch HOG SMB Safety Sausages are oral inflation or via power inflator hose. The 72 inch HOG SMB Safety Sausage also has an open bottom allowing filling via second stage octo and has a lead magnet to keep the open end below the surface and the reflected end erect above the water.

The most obvious is that it is a separate air supply and allows self-rescue in an emergency out of air situation.
